About Consolidated High School District 230
Consolidated High School District 230 begins in ninth grade and assigns Carl Sandburg, Amos Alonzo Stagg, or Victor J. Andrew through its own residence boundary. Earlier K–8 districts and postal communities do not control that decision, and students from the same sender system can enter different District 230 campuses.
Some students use other schedules while remaining connected to the home high school. Freshmen and sophomores may be placed in a daytime alternative program; juniors and seniors may use an evening program, with the Student Services Team making the decision. Transition planning for students with individualized education programs adds vocational coordination, STEP participation, job exploration, workplace readiness, self-advocacy, and community employment. Sandburg, Stagg, and Andrew remain the three geographic schools, while alternative and transition arrangements are entered through student-support planning.
