Dunlap Community Unit School District 323 Calendar 2026-2027

Dunlap Community Unit School District 323 currently uses five elementary schools, two middle schools, and one high school. The middle-school route is explicitly tied to the elementary assignment: students from Hickory Grove and Banner move to Dunlap Middle School, while students from Dunlap Grade, Ridgeview, and Wilder-Waite move to Dunlap Valley Middle School. Both middle-school groups later enter Dunlap High School. The elementary boundary affects the student’s path for more than the first school years.

A property must first be confirmed inside District 323, using county property information when necessary, and the school locator then serves as a guide. The district reserves final residency and placement decisions, and capacity can cause a new enrollee to be placed outside the school displayed as the home school. A subdivision name or nearby campus is not a final enrollment determination.

Dunlap is also planning a different map for 2027–28 in connection with a new Wilder-Waite building. The district is seeking feedback on elementary and middle-school proposals intended to rebalance enrollment. Those proposals describe a future operating year and do not replace the current Hickory Grove/Banner and Dunlap Grade/Ridgeview/Wilder-Waite middle assignments. Current registration continues under the active Hickory Grove/Banner and Dunlap Grade/Ridgeview/Wilder-Waite routes until the Board adopts a later map.
