East Aurora School District 131 Calendar 2026-2027

East Aurora School District 131 brings a large neighborhood-school network into one comprehensive high school, East Aurora High. The district currently lists twelve elementary schools, three middle schools, Benavides STEAM Academy, Fred Rodgers Magnet Academy, and several early-childhood or support sites. Those names do not describe one uniform admissions system.

Benavides serves approximately 350 students in kindergarten through second grade as a dual-language, STEAM-focused campus. Its public pages provide districtwide registration instructions but do not publish a Benavides attendance boundary, lottery, or other school-specific entry rule. The campus is a distinct early-grade setting whose placement mechanism still requires direct district confirmation.

Johnson Elementary Magnet Academy is the first clearly published selective entry point. For 2026–27, current second graders applied for third grade, and Johnson’s magnet program serves grades 3–5. Eligibility included NWEA MAP scores at or above the 50th percentile in both reading and mathematics, followed by the published lottery and notification process.

Fred Rodgers Magnet Academy creates a separate sixth-grade entry into a grades 6–8 program. Its 2026–27 criteria included the same MAP threshold together with student grades, and the district published a distinct sixth-grade lottery. Admission at Johnson does not, by itself, establish admission at Fred Rodgers; each notice applies to its own grade and cycle. District 131 combines ordinary address assignment with two documented selective entries at grades 3 and 6, while Benavides remains a distinct K–2 dual-language/STEAM setting whose public admission rule is not yet explicit.
