Huntley Community School District 158 Calendar 2027-2028

Huntley Community School District 158 serves all of Huntley and large portions of Lake in the Hills, Algonquin, and nearby unincorporated areas. Its ordinary elementary routes use more than one grade configuration. Chesak and Mackeben serve grades K–2, Conley and Martin serve grades 3–5, and Leggee operates as a K–5 school. Students then enter Heineman or Marlowe Middle School and eventually Huntley High School. The district locator is useful for this sequence, but the registration office retains final authority over an address assignment.

The dual-language program creates a centralized route across those grade bands. Students in that pathway use the Reed Road Campus sequence: Chesak for K–2, Martin for grades 3–5, and Marlowe for grades 6–8. A child may attend a campus outside the ordinary neighborhood pattern, with district transportation available under the program’s rules for qualifying out-of-boundary students. Program admission, not proximity to Reed Road, creates that placement.

Most District 158 students reach the same comprehensive high school, but their elementary experience can differ sharply. One route uses paired K–2 and 3–5 schools, another keeps K–5 together at Leggee, and the dual-language route deliberately links three campuses. The current home-school sequence and any approved program seat must be established independently. A community name cannot answer either question where municipal and district boundaries diverge.
