Mascoutah Community Unit School District 19 Calendar 2026-2027

Scott Air Force Base is more than a landmark inside Mascoutah Community Unit School District 19; its housing areas help define one of three sharply different elementary attendance zones. Mascoutah Elementary serves the city and surrounding district territory. Scott Elementary serves designated housing areas on Scott Air Force Base, while Wingate Elementary serves named subdivisions in the Belleville portion of District 19. The mailing city alone cannot replace the official boundary because the district also includes western New Baden, MidAmerica Airport, rural St. Clair County, and all of the base.

After fifth grade, the three elementary populations come together at Mascoutah Middle School and then Mascoutah High School. A move between base housing, a Belleville subdivision, and Mascoutah can change the elementary campus while leaving the later districtwide sequence intact.

Military-connected enrollment directly shapes school boundaries, student mobility, and transition support. More than half of the student body is connected to military or federal employment, and Scott Elementary’s attendance area is defined through specific base housing sections.

New arrivals need the current housing and school-boundary information because Scott AFB addresses do not all lead to the same elementary placement. The district’s standard K–12 path is three geographically different elementary entrances followed by one shared middle school and one shared high school.
