Triad Community Unit School District #2 Calendar 2026-2027

Triad Community Unit School District #2 was created by the 1954 consolidation of the Troy, St. Jacob, and Marine school systems. Those three communities remain visible in the elementary layer of the modern 121.5-square-mile district: Troy has Henning and Silver Creek, St. Jacob has its own elementary school, and Marine has another. Students from the four elementary campuses later come together at one Triad Middle School for grades 6–8 and one Triad High School.

Early-childhood services do not simply mirror the four elementary attendance areas. Districtwide Pre-K for All and Early Childhood Special Education classes are based at Henning, and prospective students complete a developmental screening before registration. A separate tuition preschool program uses classrooms at Henning, Silver Creek, and St. Jacob, with remaining places opened to community families when staff enrollment does not fill them.

The district is also in an active facilities transition. Voters approved a $99.2 million zero-rate-change bond in April 2025, and construction updates in 2026 show work proceeding on a replacement Triad Middle School, the expansion of Marine Elementary, and additions or renovations at Triad High School, including career-technical, arts, classroom, and auditorium space. These projects are approved and underway, but the current four-elementary, one-middle, one-high route remains the operating structure until new or renovated spaces are formally opened.
