Collinsville Community Unit School District #10 Calendar 2026-2027

Collinsville Community Unit School District #10 serves portions of Madison and St. Clair counties, including Collinsville, Caseyville, Maryville, and neighboring communities. Seven neighborhood elementary schools serve grades K–4. Their students meet at Dorris Intermediate School for grades 5–6, continue together at Collinsville Middle School for grades 7–8, and then enter Collinsville High School. The elementary address matters for four years; the districtwide sequence begins in fifth grade.

The Collinsville Area Vocational Center adds a second kind of convergence at the high-school level. Located beside Collinsville High School and governed by District 10, CAVC serves Collinsville students and students from surrounding high schools. Its courses commonly occupy a two-and-a-half-hour block and are designed primarily for juniors and seniors, so students must fit vocational study around graduation requirements at their home high school. Visiting students use CAVC without entering a Collinsville attendance area.

Collinsville students also have a college-linked route through Southwestern Illinois College. The Running Start program allows eligible juniors to work toward a Collinsville High School diploma and a transfer degree at the same time. CAVC and Running Start expand the high-school program in different ways: one is a regional vocational center, and the other is a dual-enrollment pathway for eligible CHS students. Neither changes the district’s ordinary K–12 school sequence.
