About Community High School District 99
Community High School District 99 overlays two high-school attendance areas on five separate K–8 systems: Downers Grove 58, Maercker 60, Darien 61, Center Cass 66, and Woodridge 68. Only portions of Districts 60 and 61 fall inside the high-school district, so prior K–8 enrollment does not by itself establish District 99 eligibility.
District 99 uses its own property boundary to assign Downers Grove North or Downers Grove South across Downers Grove, Woodridge, and portions of Bolingbrook, Darien, Lisle, Oak Brook, and Westmont. District membership and the North–South campus result are both address questions; the municipality, nearest building, and sender district can each be incomplete guides.
Transition 99 serves eligible young adults ages 18–21 after North or South through community-based life and vocational instruction. Entry follows the individualized education program. The district's ordinary structure remains two residence-assigned high schools fed by several independent K–8 systems, followed by a post-high-school transition option for qualifying students.
