Danville Community Consolidated School District 118 Calendar 2026-2027

Danville Community Consolidated School District 118 uses grade centers to create a largely shared route after the early elementary years. Mark Denman Elementary serves prekindergarten and kindergarten. Most students then attend Edison, Liberty, Meade Park, or Southwest for grades 1–4 before moving to South View Upper Elementary for grades 5–6, North Ridge Middle School for grades 7–8, and Danville High School for grades 9–12. The home address chiefly determines the grade 1–4 campus; later grade levels bring students into common districtwide schools.

Northeast Elementary Magnet follows a different pattern. It keeps kindergarten through sixth grade on one campus and operates on a balanced calendar. Choosing Northeast changes the child’s calendar rhythm, campus continuity, and timing of the move into the common secondary route. Northeast students join the districtwide structure after sixth grade, at North Ridge.

Kenneth D. Bailey Academy occupies a third role. The district identifies Bailey as an alternative school for grades 7–12, with no neighborhood middle- or high-school attendance area. Its presence in the school directory does not create another address-based option alongside North Ridge or Danville High. District 118 contains an ordinary grade-center progression, a K–6 balanced-calendar magnet path, and a secondary alternative setting.
